Intraocular Lenses

Removing your cataract is the first step in cataract surgery, but now what lens implant is best for your vision and lifestyle?

Dr. Newman and staff are here for you to help decide your implant choice. By answering survey questions and discussing your needs, Dr. Newman personally will be involved in this important decision making process.

  • If you have astigmatism a toric lens could be best.
  • If you want the sharpest distance vision a monofocal aspheric Tecnis IOL could be best.
  • If you have been doing monovision that can be maintained.
  • If you want both distance and reading after cataract surgery, it is possible with the multifocal IOL or Crystalens.

At the Newman Eye Center we are dedicated to correcting distance as well as near vision whenever possible.
